Albert's 10K

This morning Albert and 4 of his friends from class ran the Marine's 10K as a group. It was a hot, muggy day, and I commend everyone who ran today, because oh man I was miserable just standing around! Ben and I met up with our friend Marcy and her son Levi to see the guys off at the starting line.

After we saw them off Ben told me he was hungry, so rather than go home and deal with the hassle of getting him in and out, and back in, the car again, I just took him to Burger King drive-thru and got him some of their apple slices and myself a water, and then we drove down to the Finish Line. We definitely enjoyed every second in the wonderful air conditioning in the car. :) We met up with Marcy and Levi at the finish line and enjoyed watching the other teams come in while we waited, and the boys just loved playing outside. :)

We were so excited when we saw the guys come down the hill and start crossing the river! (yes, they had to cross the river, TWICE!)

And we were so proud of them when they crossed the Finish Line! Way to go, guys!!! :)
