Ben is 2 months old!!

Yep, our little boy is the big 2 months! ;) We have gotten into a nice little routine, and he is sleeping 5-6 hours straight every night! It is wonderful! He is so social and loves to smile and coo to everyone! But, of course, as soon as I get out the video camera to capture his sweet baby conversations he stops and looks at me like "not with that thing on!' (um, can we say like Daddy much?!), so I will continue to try and capture them so I can put a video up for you all, I might have to get sneaky and trick him. ;) Now that he is 2 months we did his bear pictures again, and Albert is working on a side-by-side comparison for me, but until then...

Ben's First Christmas!

Sorry it has taken me a couple of days to get this posted! :) Ben had a wonderful first Christmas! There is not a more loved baby in all of the world, I am sure of it! We went over to my parent's house first thing in the morning, and everyone was more interested in holding Ben than they were in their Christmas presents! ;) We had a wonderful morning, my mom made pancakes and sausages and my dad made hash, and of course we had some Starbucks coffee, yum! After breakfast we all gathered in the living room and saw this:

After the gift-opening-extravaganza we had some lunch (yes, it took us that long!) and took some of these....

After our naps my parents made an amazing turkey dinner and we had a delicious Christmas feast! After dinner my dad, Danny, Steph, Rafael and I played the game "Sequence" that we got as a gift for the family:

It really was a wonderful Christmas, but Albert's presence was certainly missed by all of us. I know Albert is so appreciative to all of you for the amazing gifts and cards and words of encouragement to him this Christmas, it helps him more than you know! :)

P.S. I would just like to let it be known, that I have the cutest baby in the world. ;)

Oh Happy Day!

Last week, when Ben turned 6 weeks old he slept for 5 and 1/2 hours straight which was incredible since the longest he'd slept was 3 and 1/2 hours, so to get that much sleep was AH-MAZING. Well today he really blew my socks off, he slept for 6 and 1/2 hours straight!! Can you believe it?! Oh my word, I am so proud of that little guy! When I looked at my clock and it said 4:30 I just about smothered him in kisses! It is soooooo nice to have a full night's sleep! Even if it is only every now and again, I LOVE IT!!! :) Ben turned 7 weeks old yesterday, and it's hard to believe that in a little over a week he will be 2 months! Wow! He is so much fun now because he smiles more and more and is becoming so interested in things (his mobile, mirrors, rattles, his bouncy seat, etc). He also is HUGE-MONGOUS, ok, so maybe not huge-mongous, but he is getting really big! Check out the comparison:

Yes, he is such the good growing boy! :) Well, while he is sleeping sounding in his swing I am going to try to get some stuff done, but I will try to be better about posting more often! I know how badly you all yearn for Ben updates. ;)

Ben's First Snow!

Ben is One Month!

This past month has been amazing! I definitely have gone through every emotion imaginable- and back again. :) I have had the amazing support and help from all our family and friends and I couldn't have done it without them!

Ben is growing so much and it is so amazing to see him doing new things that he didn't do before! The past several mornings he has smiled at me, and it fills my heart with a kind of joy I did not know existed!! :) He makes me laugh all the time- like when he makes his funny faces (especially the eyebrows up, eyes closed, and pursed lips one), when he stretches and sticks out his little butt, or when a loud grown-man fart comes out of his little behind lol- I could go on and on! He brings joy to everyone around him!

I took some photos of him next to his bear, and I will take a photo of him every month next to the same bear, so you can see how he is growing. Also, I gave him his first bath in the tub this week, so there are pictures of that as well! Feel free to ooowww and awwwww at his cuteness... ;)
